OT Bestie ChatGPT Plugin Privacy Notice

Effective August 11, 2026. This notice supplements the OT Bestie Privacy Policy for the OT Bestie plugin available through OpenAI products.

Data the plugin uses

When you connect, OT Bestie processes your OT Bestie account identifier, paid membership status, OTR or COTA study track, OAuth authorization records, opaque practice-attempt and test workflow identifiers, requested filters, practice and test answers, timestamps, and the minimum technical logs needed for security and reliability. Podcast searches are sent to Spotify using OT Bestie’s server credentials after your paid access is verified.

How the data is used

We use this data to authenticate you, confirm paid access, provide questions and rationales, run private practice tests, update study activity, return progress, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the integration, and meet legal or security obligations. We do not use the plugin to sell or upgrade digital subscriptions inside ChatGPT.

What ChatGPT receives

OpenAI receives a short-lived OAuth access token, tool metadata, opaque workflow identifiers needed to continue your practice attempt or test, and the study content or results needed to answer your request. OT Bestie does not send your OT Bestie password, internal account row ID, or email address in MCP tool results. Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI’s privacy terms and your ChatGPT settings.

Retention and control

Authorization codes expire within five minutes. Access tokens expire within one hour; refresh tokens expire within thirty days unless revoked earlier. Practice and test activity may remain with your OT Bestie study record so you can review progress. You can disconnect the plugin through ChatGPT. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion as described in the main OT Bestie Privacy Policy.

Health information

Do not submit patient names, dates of birth, record numbers, contact details, or other identifying health information. OT Bestie practice cases are educational and fictional.
