How Flashcards Work
Flashcards are built around spaced review. The page loads cards due for review, lets you flip each card, and asks you to rate recall confidence. Those ratings update when the card should appear again.
- Due cards: The study queue loads cards that are ready for review.
- Flip-to-check: Click the card or use the keyboard flow to reveal the back.
- Recall ratings: Rate the card as Again, Hard, Good, or Easy to schedule the next interval.
- Session stats: Reviewed count and accuracy update during the session.
Generating Cards
The Generate Cards modal can add new cards by category, subtopic, and card count. This is useful after completing lessons or when a domain needs more recall practice.
Generated cards still become part of the normal review system, so they should be reviewed by confidence instead of reread passively.
Filtering and Browsing
The flashcard page supports loading due cards by category and subtopic, plus browsing existing cards. Use category progress to see where cards exist and where more cards may be useful.
Use Again or Hard when recall was weak. Inflating ratings makes difficult content disappear too soon and weakens the spacing system.
Access Limits
The app checks flashcard limits before loading or reviewing cards. If an upgrade gate appears, your account has reached the flashcard access limit for the current plan.
